Activity folders in Flint allow teachers to group related activities together, making it easier to keep lesson plans and units organized.

How to add activities to a folder
There are two ways to add an activity to a folder:
By dragging and dropping the activity into the folder
By clicking on an activities details menu

In list view, click and hold the activity row and move it to the desired folder. Here, we dragged the "Interactive Spelling Test Practice" row over to the "Practice" folder.
In grid view, click and hold the activity card and move it to the desired folder. Here, we dragged the "Interactive Spelling Test Practice" card over to the "Practice" folder.
Note: When you move a private activity into a folder, Flint will ask you to confirm making it visible to the group, since folders are shared with all group members. Learn more about changing activity visibility.
How to remove activities from folders
Click on the folder you want to remove an activity from
Right-click or click the three dots (⋮) on an activity card inside a folder
Select Remove from folder
The activity will appear alongside other activities in the activities tab if it is still assigned to a group
How to rename a folder
Click the menu icon on the folder card or open the folder page
Select Rename
Enter the new name and confirm
How to delete a folder
Click the menu icon on the folder card or open the folder page
Select Delete
Choose one of two options:
Delete folder only — Activities stay in the group
Delete folder and activities — Permanently removes everything
How permissions apply to folders
Creating, renaming, and deleting folders requires owner permissions on the group
Viewing folders is available to anyone who can see the group
Folders do not have their own permissions — they inherit from the parent group
