You can set the appropriate grade level / proficiency level / reading level for your students in Flint. AI tends to be more verbose and complex, so setting this expectation for Flint can help make sure Flint responds to students in language they will understand.
Note: You can also request that Flint be less wordy. This can help keep students from feeling overwhelmed by a wall of text. You can make this request in the "Build with Flint" chat within the activity settings.
When creating a new activity
Option A: Explain students' level in the chat.
When you create an activity, Flint should ask for context on the grade level or language proficiency of the student. If Flint doesn't ask you outright, it's best practice to let it know the level of your students. You can describe their level directly in the chat.
If you're unsure what levels you can set, you can reference this list here or ask Flint in the chat to remind you.
