Sparky, your AI assistant in Flint, is built to be as helpful as possible, supporting teachers’ teaching and students’ learning. In order to personalize future interactions, Flint may sometimes collect memories about you from your conversations with Flint’s AI.
Creating memories
Flint will save some memories on its own, often specifically about either:
Your profile as a user (facts about you e.g. what grade you teach)
Your preferences (facts about what you like e.g. method of studying you prefer)
You can also explicitly request Flint to remember things about you. Simply state in a session that you would like Flint to remember something and Flint will save it to your profile.
Managing memories
All users (students, teachers, and administrators) can manage personal memories through two methods:
1. Interface Method
Click on your name in the bottom left corner of your screen and then “My profile”.
Click “Profile settings” in the top right corner of your profile page. This option might be nested within a three-dot menu.
Within your profile settings, you’ll see memories listed with a memory type and description of the memory. Here, you can delete any unwanted memories.
2. Conversational Method
Through your conversations with Sparky, your memories might get updated, deleted, and/or added to. You can ask Sparky in conversation to edit existing memories or forget memories about you as well.
