When creating activity prompts in Flint, small adjustments can make a big difference. By fine-tuning your prompts, you can improve the clarity and effectiveness of your activities, leading to better student engagement and more desirable outcomes.
Thinking of Prompts as Rubrics
To create effective activity prompts, it's helpful to think of them as rubrics you would give to a student. Just as a rubric provides clear expectations and guidelines for a student's work, a well-crafted prompt should provide clear guidance on what you're looking for in a response. By providing clear and concise prompts, you can help Flint understand what you're looking for and increase the chances of getting the desired outcome.
Using Chats to Refine Prompts
One way to improve an activity is using chats to provide feedback and suggestions based non-desired outcomes. By copying and pasting the prompt into a chat, you can use Flint's expertise to help provide an analysis, identify areas for improvement and receive suggestions for refinement. This can help you:
Clarify expectations and guidelines
Improve the effectiveness of your activities
Enhance the overall student experience
