This feature was released on April 4, 2026.

You can now ask Sparky to generate themed slide presentations with AI-generated visuals. In this article, we'll be covering:

How do you generate slides?

You can ask Sparky to generate slides in both chats and activities.

Start a chat or activity

Navigate to the Flint home screen and start a new chat or activity with Sparky.

Ask Sparky to create slides

Use clear language like:

  • "Create a presentation on..."

  • "Generate slides about..."

  • "Make a slide deck that explains..."

Optionally include a document or link

You can attach files, documents, or share links to give Sparky additional context for the presentation content.

Let Sparky create the slides

It may take a minute for Sparky to generate the slides. Do not exit out of your window while Sparky is generating!

For example:

  • "Add another slide about the water cycle"

  • "Make the introduction slide more detailed"

  • "Include more examples on slide 3"

What color themes are available?

There are six color themes available:

  • Professional: Navy blue with gold accents on white background

  • Warm: Orange with terracotta accents on cream background

  • Cool: Blue with sky blue accents on ice white background

  • Bold: Red with amber accents on dark background

  • Nature: Green with mint accents on soft green background

  • Flint: Flint orange on white background

What are best practices for slide generation?

Tell Sparky how to teach

Be specific about your audience, including:

  • Grade level

  • Background knowledge

  • Learning objectives

You can also provide context by:

  • Pasting notes or curriculum text

  • Attaching documents like a syllabus or lesson plan

  • Including links to readings or resources

Be clear that you want slides

Use language like "create a presentation," "generate slides," or "make a slide deck" so Sparky knows the format you want.

Ask for specific slide types

You can request specific layouts:

  • Title slides

  • Content slides with images

  • Section headers

  • Comparison slides

  • Summary/closing slides

Are there any limitations?

Currently, there are a few limitations to the slide generation feature:

  • AI-generated images: Each content slide includes an AI-generated visual. Images use a neutral style designed to work well with all color themes.

  • Watermarks: If your workspace has slide watermarks enabled, an "AI-generated content" badge will appear on each slide.

  • File format: Slides download as PPTX (PowerPoint) format. Google Slides import is not yet directly supported, but you can upload the PPTX to Google Drive and convert it.

You can always follow the what's new page to see updates, as we are always working to improve our features.
