Over the last 4 months, our team has been working on an entire revamp of the Flint platform, driven by feedback from 1,000+ educators at the 50+ independent schools that we're partnered with.

Now, we're excited to give you a preview of Flint V3, which will be launched around 5:00 pm Eastern on Friday, March 1st.

Flint V3 includes 4 major upgrades, covered in the video above:

  1. 👥 Groups. Organize your students into groups with sharing permissions similar in nature to folders in Google Drive. When you create AI tutors (formerly known as assignments), they'll show up in the group you create them in.

  2. 🦾 24/7 AI tutoring. When you create a group, an AI tutor will automatically be created for it. Students will be able to interact with it at any time for extra help, and you'll be able to view analytics on each of their sessions with the AI.

  3. 🧠 Smarter AI with double the memory. The maximum size of content that can be uploaded into Flint has been increased from 4,000 tokens (~3,000 words) to 8,000 tokens (~6,000 words)! The AI model used under the hood has also been updated.

  4. ✍️ Advanced customizability for essays. Essay assignments, now referred to "essay tutors", can now be customized with rules, language settings, and even document upload.

There's a suite of minor upgrades as well, including but not limited to the addition of Azure as a sign up option, more in-depth analytics for student submissions, and the ability to share the AI tutors that you create with the broader Flint community.
