Flint can do text-to-speech and speech-to-text in 50+ different languages. This can be enabled for any activity. This feature is popular for use cases including world languages, lower schools, and speech/presentation practice.
This article will show you how to enable it for your activity.
First, go to the overview page of your activity.
Click on the "Activity settings in the top right.
Option A: Tell the Flint chat to add speaking and/or listening.
You can specify any combination of text or speech from Flint and the students. By making this request in the "Build with Flint" chat, Flint will update the settings for you.
Option B: Update the language settings manually.
You can switch over to the "Build manually" tab to edit the settings yourself. It will be found in the third section titled "Language".
