How to View a Previous Term in Flint

A guide on accessing your previous term to see your previous activities and sessions.

Updated October 6, 2026

Looking back at a previous term is a good way to plan the current one, especially if you're teaching the same classes. Switching to an old term shows you its classes, activities, sessions, and chats.

You can also move activities from your previous term to your current term.

Switch terms

  1. Click your school's name at the very top of the sidebar.
  2. Under Terms, click the term you want to view. A check mark shows which one you're in now.

Flint switches you over and takes you to Home. Everything in the sidebar — your classes, activities, and chats — now belongs to that term. Come back the same way: click your school's name and pick the current term again.

If the term you want isn't listed

Unless you own the school, you'll only see a past term if you were part of it and a school owner has made it visible. If it's missing, ask a school owner to check it.

Staff school owners can do that in Admin → Settings → Terms: open the term with its Edit button and set Visibility to Visible, which makes it available to everyone with access to it. Invisible keeps it to school owners only, and Active makes it the school's current term. School ownership includes admins and a teacher designated as the active term's creator; that teacher does not need an Admin role label. Student owners of their own free school do not have the Terms settings page. There's more in Creating and managing terms as an admin in Flint.
