Classes
Classes in Flint can be classes, clubs, or other organizations.
Classes in Flint can be made by anyone for anyone. Whoever makes the class becomes an owner of the class. (Find more on the distinction between owners and people here.)
An owner of a class can add new owners and people to the class, create activities, and view all activity sessions that are created by people in the class.
A person can view open classes and activities within the class, or private and unlisted classes if they made them or were invited to them.
Reordering your classes
You can rearrange the order of your classes in the sidebar by dragging and dropping them.
Desktop: Hover over a class in the sidebar — a grip handle (⠿) will appear to the left of the class name. Click and drag the handle to move the class up or down in your list.
Mobile: The grip handle is always visible. Tap and hold the handle, then drag the class to its new position.
Your custom order is saved automatically and will persist across sessions. Published classes always appear above unpublished ones and any unordered classes will be sorted alphabetically.
Activities
Activities are AI-powered learning activities that can act as assistants, assignments, practice buddies, or more. Some possible use cases for activities include:
Assess students' understanding of a new topic and give an overview of who knows what
Practice speaking 1-on-1 in any language
Help students with extra learning (24/7 study sessions before a test)
Give students immediate feedback on their writing
Everyone in a class can see and interact with:
Open activities in the class
Unlisted activities they are invited to or given the link to
Private activities they are invited to
Sessions
A session is a single instance or interaction that a person has with an activity. A given person can have multiple sessions with an activity, unless the activity's owner sets a deadline or time restriction.
