What is it?
Access permissions help control who has access to school, class, and activities.
Private
When a school, class, or activities is set to private, only owners or invited people can access the group or activity. People must be invited through their name or emails directly. A hyperlink to a person outside of the listed people will not be granted access.
For any schools partnered with Flint, their school is set to private by default. The admin can then whitelist emails or add people manually. Additionally, if you would like to blacklist your email so no one with your school domain can access Flint at all - simply email your Customer Success Manger.
Unlisted
Setting visibility to unlisted offers users the flexibility to share a link to the group or tutor without allowing the entire parent class(or school) to see it.
In the share panel, in addition to owners and invited people, "Anyone with the link" can join.
Open
The "Open to school" or "Open to parent class" visibility setting allows a group or activity to reach the widest audience.
In addition to owners, invited people, and anyone with the link, all people of the parent group can access the tutor or group through the search.
