Customize how Sparky talks in activities with your students!

What is it?

Sparky can be customized to respond to a chat or conversation in a certain way. You can change Sparky's response to be more concise, thorough, or balanced.

Concise - A succinct and straight forward response

Thorough - A descriptive response that provides additional context.

Balanced - A mix of the two

Why it's important?

As educators, we all have different styles of teaching and approaching information sharing with our students. With this customization, you can have Sparky respond to students in the way you want.

Ex: Students are completing an interactive history activity comparing and contrasting two major battles during WWII. Sparky just provided students with a five paragraph summary of the battle of Midway. It was too lengthy and most students missed critical information about the battle.

You can go into your activity settings and update Sparky's behavior to be more concise and tell Sparky to provide a maximum of 5 sentences per response.

How to do it -

  1. Go to activity settings

  2. Click "Build Manually"

  3. Click "Behavior"

  4. Go to "Response style" and move the slider to however you'd like Sparky to respond
