Click on "Analytics" in the sidebar

This is available to admins of the workspace. Teachers and students won't see this option.

Viewing the analytics

The analytics page has two sections—a chat on the left where you can ask questions about usage and data on the right showing more specific data and charts.

Workspace analytics chat

The chat on the left has information about groups, activities, and sessions in your workspace. You can ask questions like:

  • Which subjects have used activities most?

  • Who has been using Flint most?

  • What subjects do students seem to be struggling with?

This chat can create summaries, visualizations, and more to display usage within your workspace.

Workspace analytics data

The data panel on the right—which has adjustable time ranges—shows highlighted feedback, inappropriate messages, and basic usage visualizations.

Click on the time frame to be able to select specific periods of time for which you want to see data.

For highlighted feedback, you can choose between seeing strengths and areas of improvement. You can also expand the auto-scrolling sections to view the whole list at once. Clicking on any of these messages will bring you to the rest of that chat session.

The inappropriate message section can also be expanded and clicked on. In the workspace analytics is where you can see all the types of flagged content. For more information on what content Flint flags, check out this guide.

Scrolling down, you'll see additional metrics and charts about your workspace's Flint usage. This includes:

  • New sessions created

  • New activities created

  • New members joined

  • Number of members graph over time

  • Number of new activities, sessions, and messages over time

  • Top activity creators

  • Activity proportions of activity types (written or oral)
