Importing additional users and classes

After importing data via Edlink by following the guide here, you may want to reimport data for any of the following reasons:

  1. Import more classes than you did originally.

  2. import new classes that have been created in your SIS/LMS after the original import.

  3. Update rosters for existing classes (e.g. to reflect new students that have been added).

To reimport data into Flint, follow the steps below. As you can see, you can reimport from the existing integration(s), without the need to create a new integration.

Note: when reimporting data into Flint, no existing users or groups will be removed, even if they were removed from the rostering system. If you would like to remove data, those users and groups would need to be manually removed from the workspace by course teachers or admins.

Click on "Settings & members", then "Import from"

Select "SIS or LMS"

Select your integration

Click "Next" to import users

This will import all users, including new users added to your SIS or LMS since the last import.

Click "Next" to import groups

This will import all groups, including new groups added to your SIS or LMS since the last import.

Click "Import" to confirm

Please confirm that the number of users and groups you are importing matches what you are expecting. Once imported, there is no way to undo the import. Users and groups will need to be manually removed.

You've successfully imported additional users and groups! πŸŽ‰

(optional) Select whether to send emails to the users

This will send emails to existing users as well as new users
