Visibility settings help control who has access to workspaces, groups, and activities. Visibility can be configured in the "Share" panels.

Private

When workspaces, groups, and activities are set to private, only owners or invited members can access the group or activity. Members must be invited through their name or emails directly.

For any schools partnered with Flint, their workspaces are set to private by default. The admin can then whitelist emails or add people manually.

Unlisted

Setting visibility to unlisted offers users the flexibility to share a link to the group or tutor without allowing the entire parent group (or workspace) to see it.

In the share panel, in addition to owners and invited members, "Anyone with the link" can join.

Free workspaces are unlisted by default, allowing people with various emails to join.

Open

The "Open to workspace" or "Open to parent group" visibility setting allows a group or activity to reach the widest audience.

In addition to owners, invited members, and anyone with the link, all members of the parent group can access the tutor or group through the search.
